Traditional Santorini fava recipe with extra virgin Plakias Olive Oil
Ingredients
Fava beans 250g.
1 big Onion
Extra virgin olive oil Plakias Olive Oil
Water 750-800 ml
Salt

Make homemade fava beans of Santorini with few ingredients and easily! The recipe will be perfect even if you have never made it before.
Instructions:
- Put the fava beans in water for 30′ and drain.
- Coarsely chop the onion and fry it together with extra virgin Plakias Olive Oil until the onion becomes transparent.
- Add the water and fava beans. We peel a little if necessary.
- Boil on low heat for 50′ to 1 hour and stir gently and not often. We do not close the lid completely because it swells the water.
- Just before the end, add the salt. Then put it in the food processor to make it velouté.
- We serve it with extra virgin Plakias Olive Oil, spring onion and capers if available.
